Seamus Noll is a multidisciplinary mixed media artist based in Los Angeles County, originally from the Pacific Northwest. His creative journey has been shaped by extensive travels along the North American coasts, where he discovered the transformative power of art to narrate personal and collective stories.
Seamus’s work centers on the meditative act of creation, offering a revisioned and nostalgic vision of America that intertwines traditional and contemporary techniques. By blending modern printing and illustrative methods with frayed, layered textures, he conjures unique visual experiences that challenge and reinterpret cultural narratives. A key aspect of Seamus’s practice is the deconstruction and repurposing of locally sourced materials, reflecting his commitment to resourcefulness and sustainability in both concept and craft.
In May 2020, Seamus earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual and Public Art from California State University, Monterey Bay. During his time on the Central Coast, he also completed a certificate in landscape architecture and design at the Occidental School of Arts and Ecology in 2018, enriching his understanding of collaborative and ecological design principles.
Seamus has been actively involved in community arts education, including his participation in Project ArtStart (2014), where he developed craft workshops for grade school children inspired by the diverse artistic traditions of the Inland Empire.
