This is about my old local art-house cinemas closure. I used to work there for about 10 years on and off, and I have so many memories from working and enjoying it as a third space I could share with other people my age and local artists. I made this before its closure in February 20226 for Pomona, Californias Valentines day Art Walk at Artists in The Alley. It was important for me to share something that was more heartbreaking than about romance. When I think about any cinema, my favorite part is knowing someone saved me a seat, and I wanted to capture the detailed memories from working there as well as the comforting feelings when I used to sit with my friends watching movies we probably would never happen if we had not worked there. It felt like an exclusive club, the velvet days.
